The wallpaper

The day before we put the wallpaper we applied a layer of paste on all the walls of the living room

The next day we cut the wallpaper in the right length, 8 foot. We must be really careful, because the pattern has to coincide and suit in all the pieces of the wallpaper as it is repeated.

We begin from the surface on top of the fireplace going to the left and right.

First we apply paste on the wall and on top of it we put the wallpaper. We place it and press from top to bottom and then from center out, so there are not going to be any air bubbles.

Another way to place the wallpaper is to put a layer of paste on a piece of wallpaper, fold it, leave it for a couple of minutes, unfolded it and place it on the wall.

When the whole room was covered with wallpaper we had to make it seem a little bit old. So we used really watery, brown colour and tissue paper to paint all the walls.
