Adam’s Sofa

Adam made a sofa for Gregor’s room and he need help to dress it with fabric.
The measurements for the fabric were:
Backboard 41" by 19" x 2
Arm Rest's 20" by 14" x 2
Front Strip 41" by 5" x 1

First we put the two pieces of fabric against the sofa and drew the curve from the backboard, adding 1 inch more to the line.

The curve was the same for both the front and back. As soon as we made that sure we pinned them together.
Then we sewed the two pieces together and pulled it over the back like a glove.
Then we stapled it at the base of the sofa to where the cushions will sit. Then it was onto the arm rests. We laid over the fabric and folded it back on it's self at the end of the arm rest so when it's upholstered it was a nice clean finish.

Then we stapled it down the front of the arm rest and then along the inside and finally underneath the frame base. And we did the same with the other side.

Then we upholster the front strip.
The two back sides need to be hand sewn in order to fold the last bits of fabric to the inside.

when the sofa was ready Adam had to tear it apart and make it dirty.
